I cannot quite believe we have completed one half term already and we are heading for the end of term in a few weeks.
DATES FOR YOUR DIARY
THURSDAY 16TH DECEMBER – END OF TERM CHRISTMAS PARTY
More details to follow, but we will be finishing at 2.30pm on this day and I will be asking parents to come back at 2pm to see our ‘special visitor’. If this is not your child’s normal day, I will contact you directly as I would like all the children to be here.
FRIDAY 17TH DECEMBER
We could not do this last year so I am hoping we can this year. This morning normally finishes by 11.30 and all children will get a part in the nativity, so please make a note of this morning in your diary.
More details of the two events will come out nearer the time. I am hoping we can do something with the committee also to make it festive.
We will be continuing our topic of colours after half term.
Week one PURPLE to include Divali on the Thursday and Fireworks
Week two PINK
Week three WHITE
Week four SILVER
Week five GOLD
Week six CHRISTMAS ACTIVITIES
Week seven CHRISTMAS ACTIVITIES
I will be continuing with my colour table on the Tuesday afternoon, please encourage your child to bring something in for this as it does extend their learning and confidence.
If you are contemplating doing some early Christmas shopping, then please consider using the easy fundraising app as we receive a percentage, it is easy and it does not cost you anything, but makes a big difference to us!
I have had some lovely parents sign up for last half term, but it is now time to get some new parents to help out. If you feel you could take the hand towels home and wash one day a week and return the next time your child is in, I would be very grateful. The rota will be out the first morning back from half term.
Please can you make sure your child’s coat is named, or that they know which coat is theirs, as we do go out every day and the weather is changing.
If you can, within your shopping, purchase an extra pack of tissues for preschool we would be very grateful as we get through a lot, and we encourage the children to blow and not just wipe.
This week you may have noticed a new adult around, her name is Emily and she is going to be working as a 1:1 with one of our children. We are delighted she has agreed to join our team.
We will also be starting our phonics show and tell sessions in the afternoon, more details on this will be in my next newsletter.
As always I have an open door policy, if you wish to speak to me or any member of staff about anything then please do not hesitate to get in contact.
Looking forward to a fun and busy half term.
Jo, Hannah, Elena, Claire, Laura and Emily.
