“My son joined Christ Church in January which was a big decision for us, to move him from another preschool. But it was the best decision we could have made. He’s gone from being an unhappy little boy who dreaded going to preschool and cried every morning, to a bright little boy who can’t wait to be at his new preschool which has completely changed his mood at home.
The staff at Christ Church couldn’t have been more understanding and welcoming. They allowed me to ease him in at the pace I thought was right for him and they were able to adapt their nurturing that was individual to his needs.
We’re about to go into our second term and he now wants to go everyday to learn and play! Couldn’t be happier.”
“I would thoroughly recommend Christ Church Pre-school. I removed my son from another nursery as he was unable to settle and had significant separation anxiety. With huge trepidation I tried him at Christ Church and within a matter of days, with support from the staff (for both of us) he was a different child. “Christ Church Pre-School has proved to be the perfect start for easing both of my children into the local community and the world of education. When I first visited, now some five years ago, I was impressed with the calm and happy atmosphere, the setting was well laid out and busy, with children totally absorbed in the many activities on offer – from play dough, painting to role play and dressing up. My overriding memory though has to be the way the staff help and encourage the children to have fun and grow and, despite a few personnel changes over the years, this is still the same today. My son loves his time ‘at school’, particularly playing outside with friends, painting and having lunch club on a Tuesday. It’s given him the opportunity to grow in confidence, widen his group of friends and develop some basic learning skills, which will prove invaluable when he starts at the local primary school in September.”
“Both my daughters absolutely loved Christ Church Pre-School. It is such a happy and friendly place where they felt at ease straight away. The atmosphere is relaxed and yet there is plenty for the children to do. My youngest loved the activity tables with the staff and was always so proud to bring her work home! The seasonal topics that they cover help them to understand the world around them in a gentle way and there is always fun to be had in the garden – the trikes and the sandpit being firm favourites! Both my girls happily moved up to infant school with a group of friends from Christ Church. Again, they settled quickly having gained confidence from the Pre-School. I have to say it was lovely being a parent there too and I have made some lovely friends. We were sad to leave!” (2015)
“I currently have my second child at Christ Church Pre-School and cannot recommend or praise it highly enough. The staff are warm and welcoming and genuinely seem to love working with children, they know all their names and personalities and greet them with enthusiasm upon arrival. The Pre-School has good facilities for the children with lots of space and a good array of toys both inside and outside – it’s also lovely that they can play outside whenever they want. A variety of activities are always set up, covering all areas of a child’s play and development – craft, painting, puzzles, vehicles, home corner, computers etc. The day is structured to help get the children ready to move on to school easily and both my children have been extremely happy there and are very fond of the team.”
“My three sons all attended Christ Church Pre-School and I can thoroughly recommend the setting to anyone who is looking for a truly nurturing, caring and spacious environment. The staff were all wonderful and nothing was ever too much trouble, making each and every child feel special and cared for. My sons bounded off at the start of each session and always came home with a huge smile on their faces, and more often than not, clutching a precious piece of art or craft they had made.”
